Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you don’t just “ensure quality” – you help teams build better software. With your engineering mindset and your curiosity for modern (AI-powered) tools, you create pragmatic and effective test automation strategies that work in day-to-day development. 

As a new team member of Eventim.Light, you work side by side with cross-functional teams, making quality a natural part of how we build software – not something that happens at the end.  

 

What you work on 

• Design, implement and optimize scalable test strategies that ensure highest software quality across all stages of product development 
• Develop, maintain and improve automated tests and their full ecosystem to improve reliability, speed and confidence 
• Create insight into the end-to-end QA processes with meaningful metrics 
• Integrate software product quality from the start by collaborating closely with product management, engineering and stakeholders 
• Consult and advise teams with your expertise on QA methodologies, tools, and good practices that hold true in a Gen AI world 
• Drive adoption of AI-powered solutions across teams to enhance QA efficiency 
• Embrace and optimize you build it, you run it together with your team 
   

What you bring 

• Strong and practical experience employing agentic tools to bring software quality to the next level and the ability to deploy AI in brownfield environments 
• A proven product quality mindset with ability to enter productive discourse with development teams, product, stakeholders and customers 
• Mastery in software engineering with a strong QA focus (TDD, TFP) and/or in software test automation engineering 
• Fluent with several languages and various frameworks (we use TypeScript, PHP, Java, vue.js, Angular and others) 
• Excellent knowledge of modern testing methods and tools including tools along the entire CI/CD chain 
• Great communicator, spoken and in writing, in English or German
